Well, I just remembered one of the lenses that can go all the way to 5:1 and it is made especially for Micro Four Thirds! It is the Yasuhara Nanoha and it is available at B&H for $499. It even has build-in LED lights for subject illumination! Still don't quite remember the other ones, but it is this one anyway that is of importance to the OP. Glad I remembered (sort of, I came close, then had to look it up). It's not an easy name to remember (for me at least)!

Olympus doesn't make a 1X to 5X like the Canon (please note that the Canon lense cannot focus to infinity), but Olympus does make a 30mm f3.5 that goes from infinity to 2.5X and it is now shipping.

Try getting the Olympus film 90mm f2 macro. It looks like sells for ~$900. The reason it is still so costly is because it is that good even if one does have to manual focus and shoot in aperture mode. I have one and it is sharp.

I have the Olympus 30mm F3.5 and it's 1.25X. Do you mean a different lens?

There is a 2X factor when in reference to comparing to full frame. It is like a 12mm lense, which is an actual 12mm lense in 4/3rds, is compared to a 24mm lense in full frame for the angle of view. The angles of view are the same. The Canon 1X-5X lense is a full frame lense. The image produced by the Olympus 30mm f3.5 would be similar to a full frame lense of 60mm producing an image magnification of 2.5X. The 2.5X would be in reference and comparison to the 1X-5X. Olympus doesn't make a 1X-5X lense, but it does make a lense that goes better than 1X in 35mm terms and it goes 2.5X in 35mm terms.
