Some cats are ok with leashes, but not Pinky!
I've lived with cats (and dogs) all my life. At least 5 of them have been some other sort of being, in cat form. Perhaps from another dimension or planet.
2 of them, including my current "friend" LOVE to take walks!
In fact my current friend INSISTS!
No leash required. They have picked up my cues as far as avoiding the very light vehicle traffic where we live and, unlike most of their indoor behavior, they readily respond to my verbal direction.
If I'm not ready to walk by 11:30 pm, I'll get a gentle reminder
(light nip on the ankle). If this fails to evoke a proper response, the next nip is more forceful.
We generally walk for an hour. He will often stop for a few moments to sniff out something interesting...and sometimes getting a running start and launching himself up a palm tree proves irresistable. Mostly, he just walks along beside me.
This is just ONE of his behaviors that cause me to hesitate calling him a "cat".
Once you understand where you stand with a cat, everything falls into place. A dog is said to be your best friend, but to a cat you are staff. I have said this before and never tire of saying it.
I wonder what that guy is using for brains and I also wonder if anyone will be able to find and get hold of Pinky.
That guy must be trying to perfect stupidity.
