I'm going to Zion National Park and will have 10 days. Any suggestions on what other Parks I can go to in that time span. And best time of year to go.
I did the "Triangle" in 7 days: Zion, Bryce, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. One of the best trips I ever made! And trust me: it's IMPOSSIBLE to take bad photos at Bryce Canyon! Have fun!
I agree. Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon a must. Try Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. We went four wheeling there. Beautiful scenery. Went at end of August.
Page is not too far from there either with it's slot canyons and Horseshoe Bend
Add Canyonlands, & Arches National Parks to the mix as well. In fact anyplace along the Utah, Arizona border is good.
Don't forget Cedar Breaks National Monument (along with all the other suggestions)

I prefer summer for these areas.
Be sure to go while school is in session, in less your want to spend time getting people out of every shot. I love April. Cool nights pleasantly warm days for hiking, and deep blue sky's. to back-drop all of those wonderful formations.
We made that trip in Sep 2016. I would recommend going to Wild Horse Point State Park in Utah also. We enjoyed it as much if not more than some of the national parks. Also near Zion is Zion Bed & Breakfast which is a great place to stay and convenient to Zion NP. Just google Zion B&B for their webpage. If you stay there, try to book the master suite; I think it was $10.00 per night more than the other rooms and well worth it. You can see the Milky Way galaxy from the master bedroom private patio at night.
Have fun,

Try Canyonlands. The landscape photography there is great.
Monument Valley is near The Four Corners states, Great at sunrise or sunset. The best area is on Indian land, spend the $5 entrance fee, it is well worth it. They have a nice hotel, cafe, and parking. From the parking lot are some great monuments that are very pristine. The Indians do private tours from the parking lot as well. God's Country!
You can go to the Utah website (
https://utah.com/) and get all kind of good information. Fill in the info on this link and they will send you some very nice books and maps on places to see. I did, what they sent was pretty impressive...

Avoid Summer. Too many people, and at least with Zion you will have to use the trams to move about. Also consider the following: Cedar Breaks National Monument. Very much like Bryce but more compact. Just 25-30 miles from Cedar City, UT on I-15.
Also consider Valley of Fire State Park about 50 miles NE of Las Vegas. Best in Fall, Winter, and Spring.
