Hi Folks, I thought some of you might enjoy a look at the remains an old hydroelectric plant built when electricity was just beginning to spread across America. This is the dam and what is left of the plant that housed the generating equipment. It was built on the Stones River just north of Murfreesboro Tennessee. I've read it closed in the 1930's. Today the site has been converted into a nice park and recreational area. The dam makes a beautiful backdrop for a picnic coupled with the gentle sound of the water cascading over the dam.
