OH,MY, Larry. Hours well spent! Perhaps not what you had in your mind, BUT! Look at what you have been given and given to us! Beautiful light, glorious color, and rare glimpses into the universe from where you stood. And you left knowing that there would be another day, another fantastic shot and that you would be back again. And you left us wanting more! Superb photography,Larry.
As always Carlysue I thank you for your wit and wisdom. The night was scheduled to accommodate a local camera club that wanted to do field work with me on learning how to photograph the Milky Way. The date was scheduled 2 months ago. I was really worried about the weather and as I drove there the rain seemed to justify my fears. While the rain stopped, I still had 68 people who were there at 3:15 a.m. to capture their first Milky Way photo and they were worried. I kept telling them they would go home with something they would be happy with and then I had to produce... The clouds were a bit of a bummer but they broke just enough. A good time was had by all. I didn't get much time to shoot as i was helping everyone else. After the Milky Way faded and I thought they would be leaving more than half of them decided to follow me around for the morning. There were thirty camera set up to capture that sunrise photo, and the better one that shortly thereafter followed it. They were really shocked when I stopped for the pine tree shot---they didn't know what was there until they looked at my L.E.D. screen.
Thanks for your thoughts. You dohave a way with words....
