A good series of interesting and varied photographs.
The first photograph I particularly like the composition
and the angle of which has been taken. You almost
believe the animal is real.
Nice work.

Thanks a lot Leicaflex......I agree with you about the composition on that first one. It's my favorite composition of the series. I appreciate your positive comments Leicaflex.

We used to go out to Anza Borrego when I was a kid living in SoCal. Reminds me of the best years I saw back in the 50's and early 60's. Thanks for posting some very nice photos.

Nice set and thats for posting.

Isn't this place swarming with hawks right now?

Thanks so very much Bazbo.........and YES, the area is swarming with hawks right now. I'm wondering if it is because of all the extra worms out there eating up the flowers?!?!? Actually, I just researched it out and that is the exact reason. Here is a link:

I remember back in the late sixties I used to go out to Anza Borrego for many different things and we hardly ever saw anyone out there loved the place used to have the blooms all to ourselves when they happened. Don't think I would like to see what has happened to it now.

No Kobuk, those days of having Anza Borrego all to yourself especially now with the blooming of all the flowers, is a bygone era. I have heard that there have been traffic jams out there now!

Yes AuntieM, the desert certainly is putting on a show for me and thousands of others too! It's a great year for the flowers since we have had lots of rain recently.

We have heard how the desert has come alive from all the rains. Something glorious amid all the devastation that the heavy rains caused. Your shots are wonderful, showing such a variety of desert blooms.

Yes Carly......the desert is alive and beautiful right now. Another good thing is that all this rain has helped out drought conditions by leaps and bounds.
Thanks for the nice things you have said about the photos!
