My name is Mary. I was introduced into photography in my senior year in high school (graduated in 1996), and quickly fell in love with the freedom I felt while taking pictures. Photography as a hobby has been in my family for at least a 2 or 3 generations. Photography helps me see the beauty everywhere in the world, and helps me cope with my chronic migraine diagnosis.
I recently received a Nikon D5300 for my birthday. I'd been wanting one for a while, and am stoked to finally own one! I have been learning how to use it through trial and error, and through YouTube videos. So far so good. Up until I got my camera, I had been using my phone (Samsung galaxy note 4) for my photography. Thankfully the pictures came out fabulously. But now I have my camera, which take phenomenal photos, and a bunch of filters and a slave flash that I don't know how to use. So far the internet has failed me in my quest to learn. Any and all suggestions will be much appreciated.
