Is Anyone Else at the End of the(ir) Page(Rope)?

Every time I refresh a page or navigate to a new page the past couple of days, the page scrolls to the bottom.....I have to scroll up or click "Return to Top". It's getting more than a little annoying. I thought perhaps I'd inadvertently changed some preference or setting, but I've checked everything and there don't seem to be any options for that sort of thing.

What's up? Is this just me....or are others experiencing the same? If it's just me...can anyone help me figure out what I've done and tell me how to undo?

I cleared cookies/history and that seems to have helped. It didn't stem from an input field.....happened on this site only at first but then on every one. A few months ago, something was going on where, after the second or third click on this site, I was re-directed to a spam site that hijacked my browser. At that time, the only fix I found was to turn off JavaScript. I went back and forth with Admin trying to pinpoint the problem....not sure what was found, but the problem on my end persisted, stopped for a bit, then happened off and on for a while. Now this....probably the result of someone smart who has decided to use that gift in nefarious ways....update your antivirus programs....
