Thanks folks for looking in.
I'm not about to toss my DSLRs, but this camera is small enough to keep handy with most of the benefits of it's larger cousins.

Beautiful images! Thanks for sharing them. I told him about turning pre-focus off. He said he has it off and he said the focusing seems pretty good. He's just working on getting used to changing the ISO. He's got the aperture and shutter speed figured out. Kind of a challenge to coach him from 1300 miles away over the phone!
