... camera that is. RX10 iii. I need to do a lot more reading to get it set up properly. The Big Brown Truck brought it yesterday and these are from this morning.
Nice pictures. I share your CIB. Mine: Korea 1950.
I'd say you got it pretty well set up already! Nice shots, Bill!
Very nice Bill. I love that first scene and all your birds are great. Glad to see another Northern Shoveler.

More proof it ain't the camera. Nice set Bill
Yea, as with any piece of equipment, the better you know your gear, the better the results. So far, looks like your off to a great start. I left a comment in the Main Photography forum as to my experience at

I'd chalk that up to a great first day, that I'd be happy with !!
That's a great set - looks like you have picked a good camera.
A nice set Bill - and, for me, an interesting camera choice as I have one myself. Must say I've been disappointed by the 'hunting' experienced at longer focal lengths and, looking on the web, it appears I'm not alone. Have you suffered from this at all? It seems to happen when contrast is low, which may not be surprising but is highly frustrating! I think Sony are aware of the problem but remain in denial despite wide coverage of the problem online. The other niggle I have with it is the little mode selection knob, front bottom, that is easily changed unintentionally - suddenly its on manual focus or assisted manual! Otherwise performance is good - particularly like its quietness and lens quality, plus its lighter to cart around than my ff slr! Be interested to have your thoughts.
