PS Elements comes with a "stripped down" version of Adobe Camera Raw if you're not ready for the full Photoshop experience.

I know that PS Elements in some ways has features missing from it that are present in the full version of PS but what features are missing in ACR? I have never noticed any features missing.

you need to look at a tutorial (youtube, perhaps) of ACR in Photoshop; they will do a screen shot and you will see all of the features that are missing from Elements. I use Elements and am happy with it, so I'm not complaining, just explaining.

After many years of Photoshop, I recently began using Affinity Photo. Much of my previous knowledge and learning is transferable. It will do almost anything that PS will do and somethings better. The RAW processing works well.

Previously only available on Mac but added a Windows version a few months ago.

I have been interested in Photography since a class in high school, (1976&77)
I have looked at some programs they seem soo confusing do this layer add that filter, slide this lever.
Maybe its me..... but what the H#||.... so confusing.
I'm looking for easy tutorials and such.
I'm also currently on a fixed income...sigh...

If you ever have the opportunity to attend a class (like adult education at local school) it would be well worth it. It is possible to slog through all that hard stuff on you own if you have the patience for it, but sometimes just the back and forth with other students besides the formal instruction can help a lot to learn things a lot faster.

I understand that there are things missing from elements but that has nothing to do with ACR.
