Is there any place that you're happy?

Yep. But not on this site.

So, let me get this straight. You have a place where you are happy, by your admission. You are not happy here so now I have a few questions...

What is the point of staying somewhere where you are not happy?

Are you masochist? Or is it that where you are happy it is so tenuous that you have constantly to remind yourself 'how happy you are' by going somewhere you are not?

You remind of a guy in an hospital hitting his head on a wall to remember what it was like to be in pain in order to appreciate being cured...

You basically admitted being a nutcase.

Let me guess....it's either bed or a bar.

And almost invariably that means the "Technician" has to be able to select the best tool available for the job. The idea that using the best tool doesn't make a difference might make some people feel better, but it's nonsense.

One of the best photographs I have ever shot, the one that gets universally admired and has placed very highly in contests, was shot with a Nikon D60 and the kit lens. Like I said, it is the Technician and the imagination behind the lens.

Your logic is flawed. All the above says is that a D60 was good enough for that particular shot, but it does not say that it would be good enough for any use and specifically not good enough for you. After all, are you still using a D60 as your main camera or have you upgraded two or more times over the years? If you aren't using only a D60 then apparently you, just the same as others, feel that better tools produce better products.

There are very good reasons the top photographers are all using high end cameras.

A whole thread filled with speculation and virtually no salient facts. What BS.

Speculation and facts usually only intersect occasionally.
