I like to take photos mainly landscapes and my family.
I am looking for Nikon D7200 bundle.
42Photo.com offers D7200 & 18-140mm VR lens at $1099.
Costco offers D7200 & AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR II and AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm VR Lens, 32GB SD Card, Camera Bag, Extra Battery &2 Year Extended Warranty on Camera Body Only at $1,349.
Which offers are better to me? 42Photo.com is reliable as online seller?
Thank for your suggestion in advance!!

Welcome to the forum. That website appears to be 42ND Street Photo, which is not a recommended camera business by most uhh members on this forum. They sometimes deal in gray market merchandise. I recommend you do business with B&H Photo, Adorama, Cameta, and KEH. The Costco bundle for $1349 is a good deal. You should consider it before they sell out.

Check out other camera shops other then 42nd. I tried Greentoe. Maybe getting the camera alone is better. I have never been a fan of the kit lens. 18-140 would be ok. But for me I like my Tamron 16-300mm. I have a Nikon D 5100. Don't rush into it. Good luck and good enjoy.

I would not consider dealing with 42nd Street!
Also, you may be better off just buying a body and getting your lenses as you can afford them. Kit lenses are usually cheaper quality.

If you go to 42photo.com you are on your own. Stay as far away as possible. If you like landscape the 18-140 would suffice, also great for head and shoulders shots and group shots. If you want to add wildlife go with the 55-300, and you get the wider 18-55 to go with it. Go to Nikon.com or Costco, B&H is also good. Please, do me a favor and don't mention that other place again.

Avoid 42nd St. The Costco offer is a good one. With package deals like that, check the price of the body and the lenses individually. Then decide if you really want those lenses. This is definitely a good deal.

I'll second all of what Bill just said. Especially as regards 42photo.com!!!!

I upgraded my D5200 to a D7200 a while back. The D5200 came with the 18-55 and the 55-300. I bought an 18-105 to use in place of the 18-55. For what I shoot, the 18-105 was more useful. The 18-140 was not available when I bought my 18-105. If it had been, I probably would have purchased that instead of the 18-105. All 3 of the lenses I mentioned can be used with both the D5200 and the D7200.

I would look at one of the dealers recommended by the hog. I don't really like packages like the one Costco is selling. Do not buy from 42 st. Look for a body with the 18-140 either included, or purchase separately. Consider Nikon refurb to save money. Make an offer to Greentoe. They don't deal in greymarket. Check out Crutchfield as well. They are Nikon dealers and are very reliable. Good luck.

I really appreciated all your suggestions. I will stay away from 42nd.. Let me researcheck body and lens. If I want carry just one lens, then which lens would be best for my head and shoulder shot for travel?

It would help to know what you plan to do. If you have a specific need, it might even be better to buy a body and a lens best suited to your needs. If you are trying to save money, look also a refurb from a reputable dealer (Adorama, B&H, Cameta or a good store near you). The Costco package is a good one, but look at the big "3" packages that, if you are not in NY, ship free w/o sales tax
As to 42nd St Photo, buying from them is very risky. They sell a lot of grey market items and their "warranty" is not recognized by Nikon or any of big repair companies (i.e Mack).

Thanks for the suggestion.. Right now I don't have any specific need. Just like photo shot while on travel for landscape and family. But I probably become more serious photographer by learning step by atep. Thanks

B&H, Adorama and Cameta are great to do business with. If you live in New Jersey, Adorama charges you sales tax as they have a warehouse in this state.

The selection of lenses is a very subjective matter. We tend to select lenses according to the type of photography we are going to do. Some photographers just prefer primes while others enjoy the convenience of modern zooms. If you are a beginner or even an advanced amateur the 18-140 should fill the bill if you shoot in good light. In low light you need to raise the ISO speed and today's cameras do very well up to ISO 800.
42nd Street Camera IS NOT a reputable dealer. You may pay a little more but dealers like B&H and Adorama, just to mention two of them are very reputable dealers and stand behind what they sell.
