My wife and I have been taking nice trips to scenic destinations in the US, Canada, and Europe for a couple years now. I have lots of photos from them - mountains, canyons, waterfalls and the like. Our last trip was to Norway in December. One of the places we visited was Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), which juts out over the Lysefjord near Stavanger. It is about a 4 km hike from a parking area. When I am at a spot like this I am carrying a camera or two and a tripod, so I guess I look a bit more serious about photos than the average tourist. I often get asked to take other people's picture with their camera, and this time it was by a 20 +/- year old girl from Poland. I told her sure, but she would have to return the favor. I wish it had been more sunny in general, but I though I would see what you all think of the shot of my wife and I at the rock.

Sitting on the edge of the rock is quite a normal thing to do in my opinion. Great scene!!!

You actually handed your camera to someone you didn't know and let them get that far away from you? I don't allow that when they're in arm's length! Nice shot, though. And obviously you got your camera back.

I'm sitting here safe and warm in my home and your picture makes the bottom of my feet go all wonky. Scares me way too much. But a nice picture of two crazy people with no fear of heights. (Although I suspect you have a healthy respect for long drops.)

Gorgeous shot! I hope when you got back down the girl and your camera were still there. Must have been quite a wait.

If you really want to crap in your pants, Google images of Preikestolen. My father was born in Stavanger, Norway and would go up there when he was a young man. It's waaay up and a long way down to the fjord. The hike up is a challenge itself but the view is breathtaking!

Really like the photo. Composition is very good and shadows blend well with clouds. Well done! Without people you could probably sell the photo or donate to an institution.
