What beautiful shots!!! I have been there, but a long time ago. Back in the film days and on a motorcycle.:)

Thanks for looking. On a bike would be an enjoyable way to visit here (except maybe in July-August when it's a bit warm).

Thanks. Much different than Maine. We're lucky to have such variety in our world.

I agree and am grateful to have seen both (along with other areas.)

A highly interesting set of images. It seems you found a very picturesque, and apparently, seldom visited place to shoot. Thanks for posting these.

Volcanics make for wonderful erosional features. Very well done.

Great pictures! Interesting that #7 seems to include a horizontal
bar about 2/3 from the top. Something that straight is almost
impossible to find in nature. Wonder what is is?
Now, thanks to your great pictures, I have another place on my
"bucket list".

Good eye...it is a 2"X6" beam that I noticed too. Some climber has jammed it into the wall. There are several narrow corridors along the face of the cliffs. Within these, vertical shafts arise, some to 150'. This park is different in composition and appearance from surrounding terrain.

We spent the Thanksgiving week at our Zion condo. The park was crowded for the holiday; so we decided to explore to the west, in Nevada. Google maps showed a place called Cathedral Gorge State Park…located in a remote part of the NV desert. The formations were unique, plus…deserted…quiet!

Beautiful - thanks for posting.

Thanks. Not as striking as the national parks, but unique.

We stayed there in our RV a few years ago. That place is really a hidden gem. It's an amazing place. Great photos.
