Most of my UHH friends enjoy my surfing and beach photos.......but is there an over saturation point where it gets to be just to much? I'm going to keep posting them till everyone tells me to just "knock it off"! lol

I know what you mean Brent. Yes, you post a lot of surfing photos, but they are all good. But your genre is different and I do not think they will ever be annoying. Now then, there are a few folks out here that like you, are doing kind of the same thing and now are even being chastised by other members of the repetitiveness. I can see that also. These people who are doing the same thing over and over again are simply posting still life of the same subject over and over again with no variation even though they are using special effects such as Topaz or Nik at Night. (whatever). Every post of theirs seems to be a rerun.

Yours are not. They all have impact in so many different ways. Your time of day changes. The vibrance of the sky changes. The action and colour of the water is ever changing. The concentration of the subject is always intense. There is impact with every single photo due to all of these variables; Not to mention your expertise.

So no, you have not reached the saturation point yet.

Tom

Do not knock off until you publish the definitive coffee table book on surfer photography. Then you may take a rest but not quit. Those are good.

Tom, what a wonderful point of view you have about my surfing photos, I thank you so much for that! You are so right about the ocean and lighting ever changing. You are also right about me not posting the "same old, same old" stuff. I purposely attempt to post good quality images. Why waste the time of my UHH friends??? If you are not progressing in your photography then you are either stagnant or going backwards! Fortunately I live in a place that has endless photo opportunities. I know many of my UHH friends live in places where they are not blessed with those opportunities. Thanks Tom for saying I have not reached the saturation point yet! I will keep on posting! lol

Well, sometimes a suggestion has to be made more than once before it is heeded.
