I love the first one, Linda. A really engaging shot. It really works well as a monochrome. Don't think color would have added a thing. Number two, the critters weren't so cooperative, but still there's a bit of tension in this one--the mare with those ears back, ready to protect her foal from those marauding cows (marauding cows are a major problem locally, especially when they try to crash wedding parties).

Number three is a beauty, love the rays of light in that one, and the extra birdies help this one out, too, lol.

Nice work!

Lovely!! Am really enjoying your fog!!! TG

Thanks so much, TG. Seems like it has come early this year (including this morning); hopefully that's not a sign of an all-gray winter

I love number 3. The birds on the fence make a lovely foreground. For me the main attraction is those beautiful rays of light illuminating the fog and they are nicely framed by the trees. I like that the foreground is dark and thus does not detract from the rays of light.

Thank you very much, Carol. I always appreciate your thoughtful, detailed feedback!

I see horsies, moo cows w/a lota bull and birdies, no critters.

I love the sunbeams in the last one. Does it look as good in color?

Thank you, Robert! It is rather pretty in color, yes On another computer, but I'll post for you later.

Thanks so much, Randy! I figured you would notice mom's ears. Sharing a pasture but not their personal space

And yes, beware marauding bovines!

Many thanks to ebrunner who suggested b&w for the cows and horses.

#3 - I added two sparrows to the scene as only one posed willingly

Thanks for viewing!

What great shots, Linda. I especially like the first one with the horses running out of the fog. And the 3rd one with the light beaming through the trees at just the perfect angle is perfect. I like the addition of the 2 sparrows. It makes the scene complete.

I also like how the building is just barely visible through the mist behind the cows in #2.

Well done, as usual!

Thank you, Ellie! I thought it was important to include a hint of the background in both 1 and 2 - gives more depth and interest to the fog. I'm delighted you enjoyed.

The main problem with the color is the blown out area on the right. It's a bit too large a space to ignore. Plus the leaves are not a particularly pretty color IMO. I'm glad you mentioned it, Robert, because I'd already forgotten how much I didn't care for this version
