Also in Northern California, San Jose Camera--more of a consumer store but with knowledgeable staff and huge inventory--Winchester and Hamilton. And the former Ansel Adams provider, Adolph Gasser, in San Francisco on 2nd St. Secret: Their own FREE!!!! parking lot across on the West Side of 2nd St.
In Nevada, Gordon's Camera in Reno and Carson City. As close to a Pro Shop as you'll find in this sized community. Great staff, good inventory on Nikon, Canon and Pentax, especially. Decent lighting and Modifiers available, and quality processing. And they have a 10% Discount Club!
I know there's one in Sacramento, but I've never done business with them and the name is not in my memory.

In New England - Hunt's Photo& Video , several stores with knowledgeable staff. Many class offerings, especially out of their Melrose, MA store. Between them and B&H, my needs are covered.

When we had our 3 month tour in 2011, Camera Gallery in Tulsa were extremely good to me. Unfortunately there was a warranty issue with the product purchased but on my return to Tulsa this was sorted amicably - important to me as I was returning to the U.K.
It looks like it's part of Bedford camera & video now, so would have to ask a Tulsa hogger if it's the same store as it was.

I'll add Fort Worth Camera, 6th Street, in Fort Worth. Near Montgomery Plaza. Not as large as Arlington Camera, but knowledgeable and friendly staff.
