I may have an opportunity to buy a Canon 7d with a 50mm lens and 3 battries for $150 - $200. Would this be a good deal?
Your kidding, right? If it is in good condition and you don't buy it, I and everyone else on this forum probably will for that price. Check out the used cameras on the internet.
If it really is in good condition and it works, I would certainly buy it! I had a 7D that I sold when I upgraded to the 7DII. It was a great camera!
For that price I hope its not hot. If you can buy it don't wait or it will be gone . What do you know about the 50mm lens?
Vince - at that price (and as others mentioned) if the camera works, the price is a steal ... I spent some time on your earlier question this morning about image results from an XSi. Having made much the same jump years ago from XTI to 7D, you'll be surprised at the following: a) how much more complex the 7D is; b) how much larger and heavier the 7D is; c) how much larger the images files are; and d) how little difference in the images. That said, the 7D has a shutter rated at 150,000 vs 35k to 50k for the Rebel line. You also can shoot confidently to ISO-3200 for useful images where your XSi couldn't shoot higher than ISO-1600 and images at the setting were virtually worthless. The 7D is a better overall camera. But, you need to be a better overall photographer to have the improvements in the technology transfer into improvements in your photography.

Just two words (assuming everything works and the condition is good) - Buy it! (soon, before someone else discovers it). BUT, check it out thoroughly, including looking for bent pins in the CF card slot. Take some shots, and make sure all functions work, because 7D bodies are going for $500-600 without lenses here, so that price is one of those "too good to be true" sort of deals. An excellent, solidly built camera - I shot one for years, and when I go back and look at the shots, I'm always pleased.

I am using a 7D camera. It's a fantastic camera. Don't hesitate another minute. If that camera is in good condition grab it.

In either case, if you don't buy it, I WILL! Send me the info... :-) Cheers.
Even without the batteries, or the lens, and even if it is a bit beat up, if it works it is a good deal. Just make sure the guy selling it isn't looking over his shoulder for the cops!
You don't have to outrun the cops - just the guy.

That's a smoking deal if the body is in good condition. Also, if you can, check the shutter count. The shutter count to a dslr is like the odometer on a car... very important to have that information.
