B&H no sales tax, but no returns, exchanges 99 days after the purchase,

B&H has the best selection.

You can read the return and exchange policies on B&H's website. They allow returns and exchanges for 30 days. All conditions must be met - such as all original packaging, all manuals, cards, instructions, etc. that the item came with. They only refund purchase price, not shipping costs (they do lots of free shipping, so might not be an issue!). Best to call and talk to someone first, so they have a notation in the system about it. If all the conditions are not met, they reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee, or to refuse the return. This is reasonable, since they have to replace anything missing.

Sales tax is not charged for orders shipped to destinations outside of New York State, but residents of NY will be charged. In Vermont we are asked on our state tax return to declare such non-taxed items, but unless you order a huge amount of not taxed items, it will hardly affect the tax you pay.

Think about refurbished. A lot of folks on here buy that way and if you look at Canon they give you the same warranty as a new camera. If interest go to the Canon camera store on line. I'm not sure but I think Nikon gives 90 day warranty ...Rich
I purchased a refurbed Canon 60D w/18-135mm lens from the Canon website on a Black Friday Sale a couple of years ago. Got a good deal on it and it is still going strong.

Suggestion here that has worked reasonably well, is know what an item is worth to you. If you have a price in mind and relay that price to a manager, you will be surprised at how often they will contact you when your price is acceptable. Should you buy right away when contacted the system works more often then not. Do some homework on other Nikons. Track price when released and now. You will get an idea. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are terrific when combined with some direct contact. When you set your price you really can't be cheated even if later it is sold cheaper.

I agree with what Susan-from-Vermont told you. B&H is good ! However, I think your best discount deals might be in January, February or March 2017 (I could be wrong). Everybody starts shopping for and buying Christmas presents and there might be some slight discounts before Christmas, but it has been my experience that the best discount deals come after Christmas. I realize that here are other factors that contribute to discounted "best deals". Anyway, keep shopping and good luck.
