Cloudy day, but no rain brought out the fishermen here on the Coeur d' Alene River in north Idaho.

Two excellent captures,Regis. I am partial to #1, its that lovely foliage at the far bank, the colors are so beautiful, as are their reflections. Having the fisherman as subject is absolutely icing on the cake.

I thank you, Carly Sue. As you said, the photo #1 would not have much meaning without the fisherman. There are many fly fishing rivers
in Idaho, but this is a very pretty river valley that is fairly close to my small city of Coeur d' Alene. Easy drive and easy access to the river at no
cost. Your only payment is your enjoyment of this popular area. A lot of people from beyond Idaho don't know there is the only restaurant
in the area that was built in 1880 which has excellent food at reasonable prices and has many old memorabilia to look at while you are enjoying
your meal. The restaurant's name is the 'Snakepit'. I have no idea why they call it that except to say it wasn't always a restaurant as it has
changed hands through the years. When you take I-90 exit 43 (Kingston exit), you will head north on the Coeur d' Alene river road for about 1 mile
and you will see the '1880' restaurant on the right side of the road. Across the street there is one of the 'Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes' (more than 70 miles of a
paved asphalt trail that is both a hiking and bicycling trail). This is a sub-station where you can park your car and use the restroom or have a picnic. So, you can take
a 1/4 mile walk to the bridge over the river (see below) for a good scenic view and also you may spot some trout in the river below this bridge.

I passed your info on to my brother,Regis. Perhaps he'll meet you on the trails. It looks like a wonderful place to hike as well as photograph. He is a veterinarian in Spokane so not that far for him to travel.

Okay, Carly Sue. I mentioned this to you if you should be in the area some day. Thank you.

I may be able to make that trip again next year! I'm excited! My grandnephew's wife is expecting a baby in the spring and my Father would like to go out as he would be a Great-great Grandfather! 5 generations together! Being able to make this a side trip would be fantastic!

For your Father to be a Great-great Grandfather, there must be good genes in your family for longevity. 5 generations, wow, that's great. I hope to see you in the future, Carly Sue.
