$500 and NOT A PENNY LESS.

I have been selling film camera's for close to 20 years. Based on condition reported here, I could work that kit for at least $500... not a penny less.

A true camera enthusiast would get a "hard on" if that kit were on the desk in front of him.

Some of you guys appear to be a proper age to appreciate a Nikon F1 and great primes like this. I can only presume you are new to Photography.

I ran into a young lady at the last car show I attended and she had a Nikon F1 w meter and 50mm f1.2 lens. I almost wet myself when I saw the camera and she was thrilled that I recognized her camera and that I was shooting a Film Canon as well.

Many people are glomming onto these old classics. If I were you, I would keep it and load up some film. Go out and do some real photography.... not digital spray and pray.

$500 or keep it, AND use it. Film and processing are still widely available.!!!

That's twice now you have referred to a "Nikon F1", a camera that never existed. And you sell film gear???

Sorry... My mistake.... I have a Canon F-1, and the Canon F1 is categorically near the ranking of the Nikon FTN Photomic which I mistook for F-1 model. The model designations are often misread. Then there was the F2. In either event my opinions stand as I put them forth. You just had a slightly better eye than I did a keyboard. Sorry to have made such a grievous error. I still say the F1 is as near a classic and at the same price breaks per sold listings on ebay, which is my bible for prices, condition and sold prices.

And, yes, I have been selling camera's, although not commercially as you do, for many years. How about a break, or are you dearth on film and classics as well?

One example of a classic SOLD Canon F1 for perusal (many more such instances appear on eBay and for much higher dollars):

My last Canons were a pair of F1n's that I bought at the Canon exhibit at the 1984 LA Olympics while shooting there on contract, I upgraded from my A1's at that time, I do know the cameras very well.
I switched to Nikon F4's over the winter of 1987/1988 when Canon refused to give me a nickel for ALL my FD gear in trade for EOS AF gear. Sold it all by "tag sale" that winter and switched 100% to Nikon and never looked back or regretted the move whatsoever.
I still sell a LOT of film gear, 35mm, medium format, AND large format with almost 200 film cameras in my store right now. So yes, I feel well qualified to discuss the products as that is how I make my living these days, not a hobby.

So the OP can sell to you his outfit for $200 and you can resell it for $500. Also in the link is the New F1 which is much more valuable.

Did you see me make an offer? Even if I had, the listed gear is worth nowhere near $500. But at least I know what it actually is, and have already valued it accordingly.

We are selling our old house. And having a tag sale. I will be selling my Canon F-1 and Fd lenses (35 3.5--50 1.4 -135 3.5) filters a vivitar flash and the Zero-Haliburton case. What would be a fair asking price?

Why are you selling them? For the money or to clear out old stuff that you no longer want? If so whatever you can get is a good price. I would also suggest ebay if you want the best price and for them to go to a good home. The F-1 body is probably worth a little. The lenses are not spectacular, so probably not that valuable.

Personally I would keep them and use them occasionally. They'd go with my AE-1 and T90 nicely!

OP is putting a $200 reserve on his eBay listing... not a "buy it now". There's a big difference.

Note: I'd recommend stating in listing that your reserve is very low and reasonable.... otherwise a reserve often dampens the bidding action on eBay, keeps things from selling. No reserve listings often bring more money in the end, so long as the item is well presented with plenty of good photos and a thorough description. But, of course, there's more risk without a reserve.

You'll also usually get the most money from selling the lenses and camera separately... or maybe only the 50mm on the camera body (but offer "combined shipping" for folks who want to bid on multiple items of yours.... and be sure to reference the other listings, if you sell them separately).

I'm a bit of a collector and have bought and sold many thousands of items on eBay over the past 10 or 12 years (the vast majority of it being vintage camera gear).

I seriously don't think they will sell for more than $200.
