One newbie tip- use the "Quote Reply" option so we know which post you are replying to.
Some of those Series "E" lenses are real sleepers...low price but a great deal.

My manual for my D5200 only has 89 pages.

This one has 266 pages:
http://download.nikonimglib.com/archive1/MaJxf00s2cYm018vNdJ91esMPv02/D5200VRRM_(En)02.pdf

And this one has 104 pages:
http://download.nikonimglib.com/archive1/zZBmM00neHoE01LB5Ac90ARbK496/D5200VRUM_NT(En)02.pdf

EDIT: I just noticed that the links do not work: Click on the link, then copy and paste or type in the last few characters and press enter.

I don't use a Nikon, so I don't know whether the first one complements the second one, or whether the second one is included in the first one, or even whether they're for different versions of the D5200. But you can download them for free and see for yourself.

Good grief.... why not get one or more of the relatively inexpensive modern Nikkor lenses? Those would meter and autofocus on the camera... and even the cheapest modern lens will likely produce better image quality than the E-series... Almost certainly better than any Spiratone lens!

Shop around... But at B&H I see you can get both a Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm and an AF-S 55-200mm for about $200.

e lenses is in the notched mount

The Nikon F mount is compatible with your D5200, but the body lacks an aperture "feeler" so there is no compatibility with a "non-CPU" lens. You have to get into the D300/D300s/D700/D7xxx range of bodies and higher to access this compatibility feature. Thus your Series E lenses will be on full manual with no light metering. The good news is that you can tweak your exposure quesses for free! No waiting for the lab to process....

The AI-S compatibility of E lenses is in the notched mount, but the 3000 and 5000 series bodies aren't designed to connect this data to the metering system, so Manual aperture and focus only. The 7000 series bodies, D300, etc will meter these lenses, and will give an "in focus" indicator in the viewfinder, FYI.
