I think this will be a wonderful series and thanks for taking your time. I remember when I first got my DSLR, I looked at it and thought "What in the world?"

Is this back on UHH or am I getting an email almost a year? They just went away when the young lady doing these was in the midst of moving and I never saw the lessons again. Actually missed.

One of the members was going to take it on as a new project for himself. Can't remember who without looking in the history. It was in the last month and he sent out a notice. I will try and pm him when I get a chance. Don't know where he left it. Maybe he got no participation. Will post something tonite if I find anything out. I was not involved but he did PM me about it. That's all I know.
Is there interest?

Thanks for the info. Can't say I blame MWAC for signing off if someone stole her pics. But i'm still interested. Looked at the link you sent and don't really recall this at all, and I open UHH everyday to learn and follow stuff like Sarge's return to Nam.

A member copied the picture of MWAC's young (pre-teen or early teen) daughter and posted it on several public sites. At first he refused to take the postings down, but relented after a couple of days. Some of us miss her, but can understand her reticence to return. Her last post was 07/2012, after having been a member for about 10 months, during which she posted over 4000 messages. She is still listed as a user.

She also has a blog and has posted on other websites. Her photography has really improved!

To all that are looking for some help, Sportyman140 is trying to get this back of the ground. I'm sure his approach and style will be different but if you would look up his post and participate, if you are so, so that there will be something in place for those that need it.
Look for Sportyman140,s post and help him make it a success.
Thanks for reading and good luck with his lessons.

MWAC: Your introduction to a photo primer is a great idea and a refresher course for us all. I laud your ambition and your invitation to offer correction (and hopefully criticism too,) as we see it. We may liken photography to a visual language as much as English is a verbal language. We use English to convey information from one mind to another. In doing so, we must be assured firstly that our English is grammatically correct for all to comprehend the mathematical, physical and technical issues of photography as a learned discipline. Please have someone proof read your English first BEFORE you post your intended lesson. Please know the difference of the verb tense of "shot" vs."shoot" and the consequence of a "shutter release" with the amount of light reaching the "focal plane." Please be careful to predefine what a "focal plane," "shutter'' and a "aperture" is before you use these terms in your lessons. Thank you for undertaking this vital program in this Forum.
