Absolutely delightful shots of those little jewels!

Thank you MT for the wonderful comments, the birds are going crazy they are zooming around chasing each other makes it a little hard to shoot them, but I am patient.

These shots are great. I like #3 & 4 particularly.
Do you mind saying what lens you used?

Thank you Gerylee I don't mind a bit most if not all were shot with a Nikon 80-400mm vr newest model, I think #3 is my favorite also.

Normally I feel I will have to gouge my eyes out if I have to
look at another humming bird photo, but your work (and Donnas)
is an exception.

Well done!

Thanks Abo, well I wouldn't want you to do that, thanks very much.

These are great. I agree that #3 is spectacular. I envy anyone who can shoot these little guys this well! My pics are all just a big blur - or missing the bird entirely!

Thank you APL, like I told someone else I have been working at it for years with lots of frustration & only recently has the work started to pay off.

You took your pictures with a Nikon d4s full frame dslr. Does the super sharpness, color and quality of your images with this full frame camera enable you to take such fantastic images over lets say a dslr crop camera as the canon 80d or mark 5 etc. This is assuming you have worked with crop cameras. Your set is super and so are the images taken by the queen bee of hummers the sleepy doctor!!!!

I have a few cameras a D7100 crop camera, I have shots that may be the best I have taken that were shot with it. The D4s is only a few months old, it's a great camera but each one has special quality's unique to it's self thanks again redford oh this is my third FF camera. and I have had several with smaller sensors. Several of these were shot with the D7100.
