Hi Tom, I like this shot of Meagan, the fan on her hair is a nice idea. In this photo, down to the red wrap, she kind of reminds of the old bowsprits they placed on the upper bow of sailing ships of centuries past. None of my shots of Meagan came out this good, unfortunately non of my shots were profile shots like this one and all had unfortunate strands of hair that came down on the camera right side, which kind of looked like she had just gotten out of the shower. And, of course, I was so distracted that I have to admit that I wasn't really looking that much at her face, for some reason . . . and didn't notice the problem hair until I uploaded the photos. I don't remember the fan or the red wrap during this shoot as all my shots of her she was totally undraped - so you're obviously much more creative than I am. The only suggestion that I would offer is that in the unlikely event that you ever have a chance to photograph Meagan again and are using a wrap like this one, is that you find a way to make the wrap look like it's blowing in the wind too, instead of just hanging straight down. In the upper half of the pose she looks like she is leaning into the wind, and the bottom half she looks like she is just standing there. If this were my photo I would probably rotate the photo 15-20 degrees clockwise to get even more of a forward lean and then work your post magic to eliminate the bottom part that doesn't work as well as the top half. If you try that, I hope you repost because I'd love to see if it worked, or not.
That was an amazingly fun weekend, wasn't it? Nice to see you are still shooting.

Hi Tom, I like this shot of Meagan, the fan on her... (

Greetings Jon,
You posted comments first, but I waited until now to reply so I could spend some time with my response to you making sure I could try to do it justice.
It is so good to hear from you! Glad to see that you are still checking in and reading and looking at images on UHH. Actually, I have seen some comments you have made, fairly recently, about other images, and your comments are always well thought out and well worth reading. I see you got the same impression as I did about being on the bow of an old sailing vessel. Read my comment to Tucson in this thread.
I am surprised you didn't get any profile shots of Meagan. I have many different shots of her from various positions and was thinking about posting one or two more once I have processed them . . . it seems like I never really bothered since I wasn't allowed to upload them until we have this forum topic now on UHH. I like your comment about not looking at her face, Much, - Hah! I would think you have had many opportunities to be looking at beautiful women and their body features in Norway, or perhaps I am being culturally racist or prejudice (or whatever the right words or phrase or cliché is, which obviously isn't coming to mind right now!).
I don't really remember why the red wrap was not blowing in the wind of the fan, or why she was holding it in her hand behind her derriere? It doesn't make sense to me, either, and should have been addressed during the shoot. I have several pictures of her in low light with shadows accenting her upper body (chest, breasts, and face) basically lying or sitting on the floor. Perhaps I will go back into my archives and see if I can find one that would be fitting for this forum topic and process/develop it, and then post it in a new forum topic thread. If I do, I certainly hope you will see it and make your comments and critique.
If I get a chance, I may try your suggestion rotating the image and cropping it so only the upper part of the wind blown appearing image is visible. Another thought might be trying to put in some motion blur or some such thing. I suppose the options are numerous, but nothing as good as getting it right from the get-go!
And yes, it was an amazing weekend and so enjoyable making new friends and getting to know everyone. I am looking forward to seeing some more images of yours
in the near future. If you do upload any, send me an email (which I am assuming you still may have my email address) so I don't miss seeing them. Great conversing with you and glad you looked and made your comments . . . much appreciated my friend. Until next time . . .
Best Regards Jon,
Tom
