To quote the Secretary of State:

Remember this: No country is immune from terrorism. It's easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But if you decide one day you're going to be a terrorist and you're willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise. Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn't cover it quite as much. People wouldn't know what's going on. (Applause.)

Same concept as many in the media who refuse to use the name of domestic terrorists so as not to give them the P.R. they crave.

And, the word is Actually, not Axtually
To quote the Secretary of State: br br Remember... (show quote)

By your snarky comment I guess you never have made a mistake. You are the only person on the planet who is perfect. But I am not perfect and I do make mistakes. My humble apologies. And by the way, not reporting the name of a terrorist, but reporting the event is reasonable. I think what he really means is that the media shouldn't report the Hillary scandals, so that people wouldn't know what was going on . Furthermore it's none of his business what the press decides to print. We still have a free press. By his statement, he does not approve of a free press.

A fair reading of this quote doesn't lead to the conclusion that Kerry was telling the media to not cover terrorist attacks. The point he was trying to make is that the whole point of terrorist attacks is to create fear and that without media attention that goal would not be accomplished.

What a load of crap. That might be how an uneducated 5 year old would read it. A very poor try at humor but a bit funny. Are you a clown?

No, the statement is what it is. And has nothing to do with the current Secretary of State defending the previous SOS. And, where do you get disapproval of a Free Press, other than an immature desire to get props from all the other regressives here on the Attic?

John Kerry Sec'y of State (who served in Viet Nam) Axtually said the the press should not publish information, so tha the people would not know what's going on. That's right he actually said it. He believes that the American people should not know about terrorist events. THEY SHOULD NOT KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. He believes that the people should be kept from knowing so the liberal politicians can tell them anything.

It was. Same words bush stated in Iraq.

They agreed with him. Lol
