i got the bh deal. They emailed me a code. I went to adobe site, managed my account, entered the code, my expiration extended by one year.

i have done this a few years; sometimes i get a plastic card physically mailed; this was the first year i go the code emails.

no having to close down account etc..just do it :)

i'll never do business with adobe, when you can't buy outright, but must pay monthly, they are forever in your pocket. screw that.

Even though both Adobe and B&H are reputable sellers, since you can't get a straight story that is consistent b between the two of them I say go back a few centuries and "CAVEAT EMPTOR"!

I ran into the same problem when I received an internet offer for a special price on Adobe Cloud. Nobody had heard of it. Actually, I'm surprise a class action lawsuit hasn't been brought against them.

Oh yeah sue them. That makes perfect sense (sarcasm).

And you were treated unfairly or hurt how exactly?

Why? Because they offered a product at a price and nobody at Adobe knew about it. False advertising.

Since a couple of members already explained how it works you now know what to do. If for some reason the code didn't work, I have no doubt that B&H would make it right, in spite of the out sourced customer service reps not being up to date.
