Ed I'm not sure as I cannot see the front of the scope but I think it is Vixen's version of a Mak-Cass that instead of a large meniscus lens covering the full aperture it use a single or dual meniscus lens after the secondary mirror.
These are excellent planetary scopes, at least that is what my research has told me. They are only outdone by refractors or unmodified Mak-Cass scopes of equal aperture, and best of luck finding those for under 100k.
