It's been awhile since I've posted anything on UHH. Sometimes things happen in life that require 100% of our attention. Have debated in my mind just what I might say when this moment came that I would attempt another post. Sadly on June 12th our youngest daughter, Heather, (39) lost her husband. He was 42 & due to some health issues that seemed to be beyond his control.....he passed away. Moments like this are always a shock & naturally we needed to be there as much as possible for our daughter. She lives about 8 miles away so that really helps. She appears to be doing OK & was able to return to work shortly after his funeral. Last week we offered to take her on a mini road trip to Illinois, which she really deserves, since she has been unable to get away for years. I might need to add another post soon just to share a few more shots of our adventure beyond this area.....which are quite colorful. Please enjoy some of the peaceful moments that we did experience.

It is horrible for such a young person to pass away. My condolences to your family. You've done such a great service to your daughter by taking her to another place to concentrate on healing. I hope the pain of the loss will lessen as time passes. Thank you for letting us see your photos of your healing trip.

so sorry for your loss. I'm not good at knowing what to say at times like these, and I'm sure there is a lot one can say....other than I wish your family peace and comfort during this sad time. And I know that lots of us will be thinking of you in our prayers. Time doesn't always heal, but in this case, I hope time will soften some of the heartache.

Thank you Flyerace.......for summing up our road trip so beautifully.....a "healing trip". That's exactly what we wanted it to feel like for Heather and we can tell that she is on the mend from the shock of everything. Folks surrounding her from work, to neighbors mowing her lawn, & friends from distant places being in touch.....have all helped to lift her spirits. She's also the type person who thinks of "others" & that can also be somewhat uplifting for her. Thanks again, Bob

Thank you so much cosmo54......for expressing yourself so well on our daughters loss. Knowing that folks are thinking of us in their prayers is a wonderful, comforting thought. I realize that time is needed to recover from these "life" moments & we will take it a day at a time expecting the tomorrows......to be better than the yesterdays. Thanks again, Bob

Thank you angela k.....for enjoying my photos in "A Peaceful moment". Now that a few days has passed since we did that little road trip.....we can all honestly say that it was something that was needed & enjoyed. It did help to lift Heathers spirits & she keeps talking about some of the special moments we shared together. I guess......making some new, fresh memories can be a good thing when something like this hits one. Your kindness is appreciated, Bob
