All are superb. #1 & #2 for me. The snail shows good technical ability (as well as creative ability by the crop). The second is a classic high impact example of "less is best". If you do go with the flamingo I would crop it tight - extremely tight. From a critical point of view the background lessens the impact and does not add to the benefit of the image; particularly as the bird has adopted such a striking pose. Good luck; some terrific images there.

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to look and respond to my request for help. So far the Flamingo seems to be the clear favorite (#4) with 43 feeling that it should be one of the two that I submit. The red Gerber comes in at second with 29, the snail 19, and my second favorite, the abstract Crepe Myrtle blossom - a distant 4th with 6 saying that it should be one of my two.

I continue to welcome feedback - and will take all of this into consideration over the next few days as I have a little time left before having to get to the framers in time to get my entry in.

Again - fellow hoggers ... thank you for your valued feedback.

Tim

Well, you and I, and 6 others like #2 ;-). I'min the process of having the snail, the Gerber Daisy and the flamingo all framed at 16x20 and 13x19... I've also added a praying mantis macro to the mix. The flamingo is the clear favorite among readers of this thread ... The aforementioned #2 will take it's place in a series I'm putting together that I plan to call "in the heart of a flower" which will feature macro shots of pistils and stamens.
