The lightning shot is..shall we say...striking? I also particularly like Mentasta Lake and the Snake River, although all your shots are superb.

Thank you very much Sirius, the lightning shot was on the front page of the long defunct San Mateo Times.

Take the compliment; you deserve it. That type of praise comes from me neither freely or frequently.

More about the scanning: " I use a Epson V750 scanner and use TrueView as my software." Can you be more specific regarding resolution, settings, etc.? Are they the same for color and B&W? I've scanned with different machines in the past, always, sadly, with poor results.

Thank you.

You got me there, I scanned these some time ago but I did no adjustment, I leave everything on default, I wouldn't know how, shows my ignorance.

These were taken before the digital age on film with a Rolleiflex medium format camera, a classical twin lens German made camera. I took the lightning picture about 30 years ago, nothing special, except lightning occurs only once every few years around here. I had the camera sitting on my patio table and kept the lens open. My wife is scared of lightning, she still has nightmares from a thunder storm we experienced while leaving the Grand Canyon North Rim, and a cow got struck right in front of us.
