I have seen all kinds of weird Nikon suggestions.
I believe the OP has Canon equipment and it does not have a 36 mp sensor or the lenses suggested.
I did say 24-105 as this is a Canon lens and could be rented for the event and fit all currently owned cameras.
Just wondering why so many non-Canon options being presented that are not part of the options available?
The OP asked what lens we would grab, not what camera.

Cameras are mentioned as well.
on a full frame: zoom 24-70; prime a good 50mm
Since this is not a low light situation, I would take my D750 and 24-120 f/4 lens.
As insurance against lasting until dark, I'd also bring a 50 f/1.8.
For Canon, the 24-105 f/4 is the closest. Shorter than I'd like, but good enough.
Put the 24-70 on the 7dm2 and the 70-200 on the 5dm3 or vice versa as you may wish if you'd like that extra angle of view.

If it's daylight, take a 24-105 and a flash.
If it's dark, ask again!!
SS
I agree with SS. I'd take my 24-105 and leave the 7d at home for this one. Cheers.
If you are bringing both bodies, I would put a 16-35mm on the 5DMkIII and the 24-105mm on the 7DMkII. That leaves a gap between 35mm and about 38mm. Negligible range missing. That's the combo I pack when facing a relatively close range of subjects.
There are a few variables to take into consideration here. The event is a "motorcycle club event". There are different types of motorcycle clubs out there, some far more unruly than others. Is it an indoor outdoor event or all outdoor? Going on the premise it's not a 1%er motorcycle club and it's an all outdoor event, I'd use a Canon EF 28-300L zoom and a 600EX-RT flash, a combination I've used successfully at similar types of events in the past.
Why such a big lens and it's not really all that fast?! It's built like a tank and it's weather sealed so if it gets bumped or splashed with beer, not a problem. It’s plenty fast for shooting the band, even outside in the evening. It’s always been my experience the performers on stage are well lit so even at 5.6 and a high enough ISO, there will be more than enough light for decent DOF and a fast enough shutter speed. The IS on that lens is really good so that’s a plus.
When shooting the bikes, I wouldn’t mount the flash on the camera, either on a handle to offset the flash or if you have someone with you, have them hold the flash and trigger it remotely. This way, less chance of it getting bumped and broken.
If you are looking to drum up some work, that big off white lens is pretty impressive to the layman, it’s good advertising. Be sure to bring some business cards with you.
And if things go bad, the massive 28-300L zoom makes a pretty good weapon. I wouldn’t want to get hit in the head, or anywhere else, with one of them.
Have fun…
The main lenses I use are 24-105 f/4 IS and a 300 2.8 IS.
Seeing as the 300 is too long, the 24-105 would be a great fit using fill flash as needed.
35mm f/1.4 prime. 50mm f/1.4 (of if you have it, the glorious 50/1.2 L) would be just as good, different, but just as good.
My last such event I brought a Leica with a 50mm f/2 and didn't really want or need anything else, but if you can get close to the band you will appreciate the 35mm more.
Oh, leave the crop camera at home and take your 5D3.

35mm 1.4--a great street lens.

My favorite in every 35mm camera system. For Leica I use the 35mm f/1.4 Summilux FLE, and for Canon the new 35mm f/1.4 L II. Both are incredible, the Canon might be just a smidge better.
