Have a d750. And now the reviewers and owners of the d500 are making me feel bad

With their 128 focus. Full screen touch screen super fast and stuff.....and round eye piece too

I want to trade up already and probably don't realize what have

Right?

Nothing at all wrong with what you have already. Remember, the D500 is a crop sensor Pro body compared to your semi-pro full frame. Quite different in their intended purpose. Makes a GREAT pair of bodies though!

In my opinion WRONG! If the camera I have meets my standard then I don't care how good other cameras might be. I don't buy a camera if it doesn't meet my standard even if it's the best available. That was the case of all Nikon DSLR's before the D3 was introduced. The Canon 1Ds did meet my standard but I don't have Canon lenses.

I'll give you $100 for your old junk and you can put the money towards a nice new d500 :) the old junky/clunky d750 will be much appreciated as an upgrade to my d7000.

I'll give you $10 for your D7000. You can put it toward your D750.

G, if you feel the 500 is trading up, then you probably really have no idea what you need in a camera. You should have saved money and gotten the 610!
Good luck with your GAS, and better luck with your photography, whatever it may be!!!

I looked at your posts and not a single photo. Why do you feel your current camera isn't good enough? What cant you do with it?

In a strange way any camera is good enough as long as there is nothing better.

Exactly! Although I love my D7000's and would keep them as well...

There is ALWAYS something better - it just depends on how you compare things :)

And that is why there are people who always worry about theirs not being the best.

Just stick to the D500 and put some effort into mastering it. Changing cameras every time a new model is released is just blowing money without really improving your photographic output.

You have acute GAS, and it it painful--but self-induced. Let go of it.
You are forgetting that you have a great camera. Stop beating yourself over the 500 and go take pictures with your full frame 750.

When I purchased my D500 someone in my camera club wanted to make comparison shots with his D750. The conclusion was that the D750 had slightly less digital noise at high ISO settings but the D500 shots were clearly sharper. The RAW files were processed the same way for consistency. The cameras and lens were checked for back or front focusing errors. The omission of an anti-aliasing filter in front of the sensor on the D500 seems to give it an edge in sharpness.

You could rent the camera first to test it out. LensRentals.com is excellent.
