I need a comfortable camera strap
I have a Black Rapid Sport, Cotton Carrier and the Peak Design Slide. My favorite is the Peak Design Slide by a landslide. The Cotton Carrier would be the least weight on any shoulder though.
I use the Carry Speed which I like a lot and have had no trouble with. Recently I purchased a strap and a belt attachment from Peek Design. I really like the strap and have not used the belt attachment yet. You might give them a look and carry your camera on your hip instead of your shoulder for awhile. Whats nice aabout the Peek Design is you can switch from belt to strap in a few seconds if you like.

I had the RS-7 and it was uncomfortable and burdensome. I also did not like that it fastened to the tripod socket. I also had an Op-Tech wrist strap but did not like how I could not use my right had to adjust controls on the camera. I bought a Bosstrap and love it. Strong yet light, comfortable and fits to a strap lug. Hard to beat unless you want a system for carrying more things.
I love my Peak Designs Slide. I can quickly switch it from an over the shoulder to an around the neck configuration. It is very comfortable.
Plus it leaves the tripod plate in place, so I can mount my camera on my tripod without having to remove the strap. (Or I can easily un-hook the strap when the camera is on the tripod.)
Overall, I highly recommend the Peak Designs Slide.
A nice, comfortable adjustable, inexpensive shoulder/neck strap is the Domke Gripper, which has a rubberized backing so it doesn't move around. I use the non-swivel one. I use it with Op/Tech quick connects so I can change to a wrist strap when needed. Terrific!
Black Rapid Sport with the underarm strap.
I also use the BR wrist strap if I am not carrying for a long period.
Usually have a Sirui Arca Swiss type plate attached so all I have to do is unclip to use the tripod. BR makes an AS compatible plate now too. I use BR with a heavy 1D Mk III that with a moderate lens weighs over 4 lbs. I never worry about the mount being in the tripod socket as the plate spreads the force too.
There are lots of great solutions out there, you just have to find the one that works for your taste and budget. Good hunting!

The Carry Speed is my choice. The plate that attaches to the tripod mount has never showed signs of coming loose. The best thing is that the camera attaches to a hole in the plate that is offset from the tripod mount giving it additional stability. You can also still use a tripod quick release plate with the CS plate.
I too have shoulder issues. I purchased the Indigo Marble over a year ago and love it. I shoot weddings and other live events and carry the camera around for 8 hours at a time and what a big difference from my old Canon strap which would make my neck sore at the end of the evening. I also use it for my landscape photography and it can be used with a tripod without having to take the strap off the camera.
The strap is wider than most which will distribute the weight on the shoulder you are using. You don't put the strap around your neck, you can use it on either shoulder due to the camera strap not moving when you pull the camera up. The camera sits at your hip out of view so if you are in a place where you aren't sure about security, the camera isn't hanging right in front of your chest, it is hanging lower.
Good luck with your hunt and I hope your shoulder heals quickly.

I have two rotarcuff issues along with sciatica, neck and back injury. I pick up the OpTechUSA Pro Strap and it has work wonderfully. I have it attached to my right camera lug and right side of my battery grip. I can carry it over my right shoulder or cross body for best distribution. I try to listen to the way my body is feeling and adjust to that. I carry some heavy equipment but pay attention.

I have the Optek which attaches to the camera on the strap lugs. I like the fact that it can be removed easy when packing the camera in a bag. Highly recommended!

Op Tech works fine for me. I can carry my 5D MK III w/Tamron 150-600 attached with no problem and I am no spring chicken.
👍👍👍
Op Tech has been very kind to my shoulder / back.
I have degenerative joint disease and my left shoulder and spine are always aching.
I purchased a couple straps and have found that the Op tech is the best for me so far.
My son like it so much he has two also.
I carry around my Canon 70D and my son carries his T5i and 40D .

I use an Op Tech shoulder strap that connects to a strap lug. I like it a lot.
