Oh no, it's a terrible thing when such beautiful healthy trees come down because of the weather, plus think of the birds who've just lost their home. Nature can be mean sometimes.
Indeed it can, rmorrison! Thanks for looking!
That is a shame Sue and it's not as if they can be repaired.
Wow, sorry to see such damage!

Nice images Sue. So sad to see such beautiful tree damaged.
We're loosing Pine and Oak trees due to the drought. It will take years to replace. I've had about ten huge Oaks that had to be cut own.

Very sad Sue. I am a tree lover so that really hurts. We had a few go down this year back in the woods. But they were Ash trees and were pretty dead already.

I feel your pain! We lost 6 whole trees and parts of 2 others about 11 years ago. I'm just glad you all are okay. I still miss the shade those trees provided......

Nature can be so cruel at times. Hope they are replaced.
So sorry Sue, and we have also had really high winds, but so far just many small limb and sticks to pick up!
Sue that is so sad to see, nice pictures.
For sure! Thanks for looking Jim!
Yep, me too, even though they aren't ours!
No matter whose trees they were, that's a huge loss.
That storm was ferocious!! It came around 10:00 PM here and lasted for about 45 - 50 minutes. Lightening and winds galore!! Also knocked down some trees and took off a hinged door around our dumpster area.
That cherry tree down is a pity! They are so beautiful.
