It would appear you have purchased the very cheapest model with the least amount of memory available. You have the equivalent of a 400HP SUV with a 10 gallon gas tank. And you want to use it photo processing? I wonder how well that is going to work.

That little computer is designed for students to surf the web and do their homework. Forget using that little Mac for photo editing and go back to your PC for photo processing. You will be much happier.

It is my humble opinion that those who are so exteremely cost conscious should not buy Apple products because things like this happen when they do.
It would appear you have purchased the very cheape... (show quote)

In the early 2000s, I ran a digital portrait lab with computers less tha one tenth the power of the lowly entry level MacBook Pro. Piece of cake! An iPhone 6s is more powerful than what we used back then!

Yes but that was also very different software. It was optimized to be lean and mean. Not so much the case with modern software. With only 8GB of RAM there will be a memory issue when trying to do any heavy duty image processing.

Not true. My new iMac and 2010 Mini both have 8GB. I DO NOT have any bottlenecks.

It comes with "Photo" and it should be more than enough if you are doing basic adjustments.

Unbeknown to many people is that Photos.app is now extensible. Search the App Store for "photos extension" and several will show up. BeFunky Express and Magic HDR seem to be useful. External Editors allows you to choose an external editor from all available on your system then automatically feed the revisions back to Photos.

This is a recent addition so keep your eyes open for future releases of extensions.

Yep. I rest my case... Of course more resources are always welcome, but you have to remember that thousands of pros have been doing fine work with a lot less for the last decade and a half.

Hello, can I use this program on an ipad? I'm not using my computer.
Thank you, David

That I could not say for sure. I believe they have contact information so if interested maybe try contacting them directly. I'd hate to say yes and be wrong. My guess is that you could but that is just a guess.
