Using the Sony A6000 Manual

While I hesitate to even call it a "manual," the thickest document that comes with the A6000 must be the document we're meant to use for setting up and using the camera. It's trash.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a book on the A6000? Short of using YouTube for every setup, I'm at a loss. Such a simple task as shooting a set of exposures for HDR is extremely difficult. Helppppppppppppp!

Nice, but why do they have to make it so difficult. I still didn't see--although, I have to admit, my read was quick--"bracketing." Has Sony never heard of "Table of Contents" or "Index"?

I keep two books very near:

"The Complete Guide to Sony's Alpha 6000 Digital Camera", by Gary L. Friedman and Ross Warner

"David Busch's SONY a6000/ILCE-6000"

Hi Sarge,
I've heard or read that Friedman's is the best, and I've read that Busch's book is the best. I find they each have certain strengths, and am glad I made the investment in both.

The very best book written for that camera is Dave Busche's Guide to the Sony A6000. Order it from Amazon.com for about $32.00! It starts right at the very beginning and will teach you what every single feature, function, use, and customization is on that very great camera! You will be the Master of the A6000 by the time that you are just half way through it, And it's also fairly easy to read and to follow! Get it...

I've been searching for Busch's book but it seems to be out of print. Amazon had a listing at $101, Barnes & Noble says unavailable for online ordering.

Anyone else have better results?

Happy Shooting

the second link gives more information then I will ever need. Have been using the 6000 for a couple of years and once you have the basic down it is a piece of cake. Learn to use the fn button.
for hdr setting go to drive mode select 3 brack and use the side of the wheel to set your choices.

To do HDR in camera go to Camera Settings, List 4, Item 6 Picture Effect and chose HDR Painting (Pntg). Then chose Low, Med or Hi.
