On our trip to Oregon we stayed at the Cove Palisades Stat Park on the Crooked River. There are 3 rivers that cut the gorge in the area and I had fun shooting them all!

Lovely shots,L.B.! Oregon is a wonderful state!

Here is the story...Last Thursday up river which is south of us ( this river flows north) they had a whopper of a rainfall during two hours, 66mm whatever that is. The city was flooded and the jam went down. Here at the falls, the whole ice show went down

Must have been quite a show! Noisy and exciting! Interesting captures!

Love your theme - the palm fronds. Hmmm-what would mine be?? Been thinking since I saw the title.

Pat, can't wait to see what you come up with. I needed this as I saw the same things everyday when I go out for my walks. This made me look more....next I need to become more creative when I see the everyday things each day.

Good observation. I was thinking I am sick of looking at the same things too.

A big thank you to RR for another great Sunday.

The challenge for the upcoming days is 'Shoot a Single Theme'.

"Sometimes it helps to have a theme to keep our mind and interest engaged with our photos. It gives us purpose and a reason to look differently at things that we might have already photographed. Be specific in your theme so that it is obvious that the photo series was taken with particular intent.

A theme might include: color, the same type of flower, classic cars, your hometown, the life of a kid, homeless people, travel photography in a certain locationÂ… The list can go on and on. The idea is that your theme is specific but still gives you enough latitude to take interesting photographs."

I chose to go out with a theme of looking up and capturing foliage. Here are a few of my images.
