Challenge - Feb. 29th thru Mar. 2nd, 2016 - Shoot a Single Theme
A big thank you to RR for another great Sunday.
The challenge for the upcoming days is 'Shoot a Single Theme'.
"Sometimes it helps to have a theme to keep our mind and interest engaged with our photos. It gives us purpose and a reason to look differently at things that we might have already photographed. Be specific in your theme so that it is obvious that the photo series was taken with particular intent.
A theme might include: color, the same type of flower, classic cars, your hometown, the life of a kid, homeless people, travel photography in a certain location
The list can go on and on. The idea is that your theme is specific but still gives you enough latitude to take interesting photographs."

How did you make the collage?
Orchids from the Orchid show in St. Louis, Mo. The Missouri Botancial Gardens.
Okay.....so I was trying to add a couple more days to the year 2016! I have sent a message to ADMIN to have the dates corrected within the topic name.
Sorry for this inconvenience.....look forward to your posts.

Love your theme - the palm fronds. Hmmm-what would mine be?? Been thinking since I saw the title.
On our trip to Oregon we stayed at the Cove Palisades Stat Park on the Crooked River. There are 3 rivers that cut the gorge in the area and I had fun shooting them all!
The Dechutes and Crooked Rivers meet here everyday!

I don't know why they called it the Crooked River!

Here is the story...Last Thursday up river which is south of us ( this river flows north) they had a whopper of a rainfall during two hours, 66mm whatever that is. The city was flooded and the jam went down. Here at the falls, the whole ice show went down
It went from like this
To this in a matter of hours
Now this one has a story of its own. Nature posed a ''mist filter'' which come from shooting downwind into wind blown spray

Gorgeous orchids! Must have been fun to see all that color and variety! I haven't had much luck trying to cultivate these beauties!

Wonderful captures of this event RR. And love the natural filter on your last image.
