I just found out that an image I made of a horse race for a college class project has made it into the finals for the 36th Annual College and High School Photography Competition from over 14,000 entries Worldwide. It now moves on with the other finalists to a committee of Professional Photographers and College Photography Educators for final judging..

Making it into the finals is as good as anything. Congratulations! Judging for finals is always tricky and the best photo subjectively speaking, doesn't always win the prize. Again, congratulations on making it to the finals. :thumbup:

Be careful, I hope it is legitimate. Many years ago I entered a contest and soon received a reply about how great the photo was and the talent I must have. They said it was going to be entered into a National contest and said I could buy a book showing all of the other entries including mine. They also suggested I consider additional training thru them, at a reduced price because of my talent. I didn't. There's a million ways to separate you and your money.
