The B&W treatment shows great tonal control. The reflections are a great capture. Now doubt this is classic Billyspad. I think the sky needs work and don’t think cropping some off the right would hurt. Hope you don't mind me pointing some of it out. Don't be rustling my pigs.

Interesting shot and good composition. Cropped too tightly on the right and left edges for my taste. I would get rid of those wires above the roof line. And I would have increased the contrast of the sign. I think that is important but lost in your rendering. How come your reflection is not in the mirror? Is it slanted downward?

Like your suggestion about the sign fella. The wires Im 50/50 on. Its basic street photography just a 100th of a second slice of these peoples lives and the wires are a part of that. Im very loathe in street to titivate but feel it should be left as natural as possible. The guy passing has nothing to do with the barber shop was not a customer but he was present at that 100th second recording I made. So if they do not obviously spoil a shot Im happy for odd objects and passers by to stay.
My reflection or lack of it scared the crap out of me!! Went back to check and yes it is a sloping mirror!!
Thank you for calling by my friend

Very very nice, good composition with a pleasing stylized look to the processing. Overly gritty would not have matched the scene as well. Like the depth of the image you've conveyed.

As Sharp Eyes pointed out, the wires have bled a bit much up top but can be cleaned up rather easily. I don't know that I'd remove them, but I would tame them.

I am not sold on the frame, it seems a little heavy for the type of image, and I wonder if there is more picture real estate hiding behind some of it that might be nicer included in the image.

Good shot Billy. Agree with Minnie about "cleaning" up the one wire that looks blurred in the shot but do not remove. They are part of street photography like signs, posts and other objects. You can move around for a better position but something, most of the time, will always be in the way. With all that I just stated I may remove the bits of the antenna on the top left.
Maybe take a little off the top as a crop but leave the rest alone.
Good to see you are feeling better and back to what you like best.

Been considering it for a small while. Love the photograph - a lot.

IIWM, which is isn't, I would follow the advice given to me in 1977 by Steve Crouch, "Steinbeck Country," and follow the axiom that sometimes cutting out a sky can add a whole lot of height to a photograph.

Be that as it may - get rid of the pig. Theft is beneath you. Besides, what's Frank gonna do with out his Playmate of the Month. lol - better make tht two lol's.

Actually I like the guy passing by. If you didn't mention he was passer by, he could have passed for a customer waiting his turn. With this new opening Vidal should have been one of the stylist. 😂
