I usually have 5 cameras, one tripod, the usual assortment of lenses, tools, and film/memory cards. Notebook, exposure meter, cell phone (only to run and exposure/development program. Snacks.

Unfortunately, I can't take that kind of time away. So, mine are weekend trips, or day trips. Either way, all the stuff goes with.

I'd love to go out for a month. However, my manager tends to like the team there most of the time.

Those 8 cards would not last me a single day, I fill them up in half an afternoon!

NOPE... She is NOT in any picture.

Not Married. = Therefore I have the cash... AND more importantly the TIME to do what I do....

By The Way.... I do have a "Crank-Up" Camper.... However, That is for trips not over 1000 miles.

I did take it on one trip (3 months) from Missouri to Colorado (R.M.N.P.) Wyoming (Yellowstone and Grand Teton) Montana (Glacier) Idaho - Washington - Oregon - California - Nevada - Utah - New Mexico - Back into Colorado (South part) - Kansas - Oklahoma - Texas - and back home through Arkansas.

So on THAT 9050 miles trip It helped out well....

Still took the list I stated before.

:-)

Being a full time RVer (since 2001) I understand. I guess I am always out in the field, and I even do photography when motivated. Sleeping in my own bed (with my own wife) is wonderful.

I'll bet you anything that if you left this item at home, you could get in twice as much shoot time and cut your trip time down to 1 1/2 mos.
Right now, you probably spend most of the day PISSING !!!

Whoa, that is amazing..... here I thought I had a lot of "stuff" to haul around. I've been thinking I should get a bigger dog and train it to be a pack dog :)

The wife's retiring in a year. I'd like to get a trailer and travel a couple of months at at time. I've been saving money little by little to purchase lenses. James, what length lenses do you suggest for a 35mm. That's all I've got. D7000 and D800. Right now I've got a Tamron 10-24mm dx, Nikon 28-300mm, Nikon 24-70mm and Nikon 70-200mm. I considering purchasing the Nikon 300mm f4 or the Nikon 200-500mm.

Let's see. Three months, 120 days, 8 T-shirts (and assuming an equal number of skivvies), 8 pair of socks - a shower and change every 15 days. How much Right Guard do you take? It sounds tempting, but I think I'll have to pass. :)
