Yes many scientists have been ostracized and or criticized/insulted. Some examples of this is evolutionary biologist Dr. Richard Sternberg.
Iowa State University Guillermo Gonzalez was denied tenure and did not receive any major research grants for his support for ID theory.
The Smithsonian Institution's alleged accusations against biologist Richard von Sternberg which were bogus.
Maybe you neglected to watch the movie "Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed" which proves this claim to be true and wide spread. To actually deny this is happening only reveals that some buried their heads in the ground of denial.

Science findings of intelligence in the molecular level is the best explanation of ID. :) Darwinism as ZERO scientific observable evidence therefore it is NOT science. There are many PhD scientists who are much more educated and intelligent than you are and are obviously more scientifically literate than you or I.
