Madame Pocahontas is not the face that launched a thousand ships and started a war that lasted ten years. But then, Helen had a great publicist. Altho it boggles the mind that with all the hubbub, no one bothered to take a decent shot of her to pass along.

At the very least, this modern version of Helen ought to be worth a few rowboats and a good bar fight.

Spectacular on download, Randy. Truly wonderful work. You must be so gratified to have come so far so quickly!

I can see folks lined up out the door to have their portraits done by the Treepusher. You're gonna need a bigger clinic ;-)

Just keep that pesky Paris guy from stealing her away from you. This is one attractive woman Randy. Thanks for sharing her with us.

Excellent shot, fine model -- I find the eyes looking "beyond" a little unsettling. A bit of a chill..in a warm picture. Likely just me.

Thanks, Linda, that's very nice of you. I'll definitely have to choose between a larger reception room (where these are done) or a shorter lens. I'm thinking the lens would be cheaper... ; )

And yes, I'm really pleased at how these are coming along. It helps a lot that Madame P is so pretty, but some of the other ladies I've done (don't have permission to post them) have also turned out well. So I'm learning.

They're not perfect yet, but they're way better than they were a month ago. I wonder if using a name brand garbage bag for my backdrop, rather than the generics, would make a big difference, give me that final touch I still need? LOL

I do notice the download is far more saturated here than it is on my own monitor (it's also correct on my cell phone). Haven't seen that happen before, seems odd. Maybe just a peculiarity of the image.

Anyway, thanks for visiting and your very kind comment, glad you enjoyed the shot. It's always much appreciated!

I remember it on a couple of your others, including a pp forum "playtime" shot you did with my Mt Rainier. Seems I've read that it has something to do with converting to RGB (or SRGB??) before uploading. I bet Searcher would know :)

I do think your switching to name-brand garbage bags has made a ton of difference - rotfl

Thanks, Bob. I think it was actually more Aphrodite and Hera's doing. Paris was stuck in a no-win situation, judging that pair, lol. He should have politely declined the job, claimed he had a previous commitment as a guest judge on 'Troy's Got Talent' or 'Dancing with the Stars.' Something. Anything. Clearly he wasn't a quick thinker...

Madame P is a genuine beauty, and I'm very fortunate she puts up with me at all, lol. Never mind tolerating all the bad shots I've done of her! But she's enjoying the process, and finally starting to get some nice shots to print up for herself and her family.

Thanks for your very kind words, which I'll pass along to her, and thanks for your visit. I always appreciate it!

Thanks, Johnny. They're getting better. I'm sure it's the garbage bag backdrop that's made all the difference, lol. But a pretty model doesn't hurt, either.

Glad you enjoyed this one, and thanks for stopping by, your kind comments, and that thumb. Always very much appreciated!

Your talent and skill as a photographer combined with Madame P's good looks have definitely created magic, Randy. You've achieved your goal of becoming an excellent portrait photographer while establishing Madame P as a wonderful model while doing so. You must both be very proud.

PS. Helen of Troy is a perfect name for the classic beauty you capture and enhance in your images.

This reminds me of some color portraits made in the late 50's only a bit more saturated. I have a cherish portrait of my mother taken during this period that has a soft glow about it, similar to your work. Great Job...keep learning!
