Well, it is true that the article doesn't specifically mention photography, but inasmuch as many who offer instruction in photographic post-production recommend Wacom tablets for precision retouching, and if this article is to be believed, the Apple Pencil is far and away more responsive than is a Wacom, I'd think it would be highly relevant to photography.

Yes, it's a fine line between photography and chit-chat. I sometimes get several notices in one day that my posting was moved to the "correct" section.

Steve Jobs said something to the effect that if you need a stylus, you're doing something wrong.

No, it's just that UHH offers 28 different forum sections and there is no reason for not using the appropriate section for posts.

Why are you getting so excited? :-(

Steve Jobs was a visionary genius and he was very difficult man in his ways. He believed, that he can tell the consumer what he needs and what he wants, because consumer is too dumb to know it. As an example was his first McIntosh with very tiny black and white monitor.

I don't know why you think I'm excited, maybe you're projecting.

As time goes on, I'm hearing more stories about his lack of "niceness."

He wasn't nice at all. He would go around and spread a confidential "info" about upcoming product. When anything leaked out, he would fire that particular person on the spot, because each of VP's received different rumor. That is why Apple was so tight lip. Now, all the leaks are coming from China, because all the Apple products are made there. He would have to fire the whole China today.

Post processing, a lot of people post process with a graphics tablet, the problem with apples pencil is it requires an ipad or ipad pro pretty much as it needs a touch screen to work.

http://blog.astropad.com/ipad-pro-and-apple-pencil/

now this makes it interesting since you can use apps on your mac from the iPad so yes real photoshop illustrator ect. To work with much more compelling.

Can you point me towards a resource that shows me how to do this? This sound like a way to have the best of both worlds: power of full up computer and the ease of a touch screen.

The link for the astropad is all I have for now, if you have ever used remote desktop or similar you know you can operate a computer remotely with its screen being shown on your local machine and your key presses and mouse clicks being transfered to the remote machine.

I think astropad are doing something similar but they will be reporting pen angle and pressure as well. It could be great if it works with little lag or terrible. I don't think the ipad pro and pencil are available till November. After November there should be real reviews and thats when we will know if its a practical way to work.
