My question is, can I use anything in here with my Canon T31 besides the bag?

Ricoh was never known for producing robust cameras, but this one doesn't look like it's been used much, and if the electronics aren't deteriorated after 30+ years, it may have some life left.

Sometimes we get suduced by what used to be valuable in our youth but is no longer!
I'll bet there is someone here that will give you twice what you paid. :lol:

If your looking for a film camera to use I would say you did all right if all works good . Ricoh was a great camera ...I would have given that much...

Everything looks brand new with filters in boxes. It was just wishful thinking on my part that maybe the lenses would work on my canon. I still think I did good, even if I just use the case for my lens and the bag is a nice mid size one.

A web search reveals that this camera uses Ricoh's R-K mount

Today, Ricoh owns Pentax, but back then they were running parallel paths.
R-K mount lenses can be used on any Pentax camera, with the reservation that simple surgery has to be performed on the lens's mount (I did it on one of mine) or else the lens might permanently lock onto a modern camera.

Canon used their own FD-mount before auto-focus; now they use their own EF and EF-S mounts; your Canon Rebel implements both the EF (red dot) and EF-S mounts (white dot), but regrettably you would need an adapter to use a lens with any other mount ... but adapters are readily available (and I believe the surgery on the lens wouldn't be necessary in this case)

hmm maybe they will, There was a problem with Ricoh lenses on pentax as they would physically fit but ricoh had a pin that would fit into an indentatation on the camera body and make it near impossible to remove.

I've not seen a ricoh to canon adapter, (never looked) but the pentax to canon adapter is very common and cheap and includes a focus confirmation chip. You may find there is a lever on the back of the lens that may get in the way of the mirror on your canon this can be removed or cut off as it isn't needed on the canon body. So i think you have a pretty good chance it can work on your canon. google for ricoh to canon adapter but if you can't find one, i think the pentax k to canon adapter would do the trick.

Angela, are the lenses bayonet mount or screw mount? Check the internet and see if there are any lens adapters to use the lenses on your current camera. the 70-210 looks like a Vivitar Series 1 which is a pretty good old lens. I have one with screw mount adapted to my Canon 50D.

Brings back memories. My first DSLR was Richo sold as a Sears Camera. Had a 50mm and 200mm with M-42, which I still have and use with an adapter.

Photo #4 shows the DOF markings which no longer are used, lost to us, on lenses in the AF Digital-world. Autofocus by eye and fingers gave you personal control of the scene.

The condition of this camera and accessories is a tribute to the original owner who valued and loved this camera. Yes, Angela, you did well, you have purchased a shrine to photography in the glory days of film photography. :thumbup: :XD:

Looks like probably an FD mount... They make converters but I have no idea of the quality of those lenses. #9 however has great potential as a very nice bicycle seat😳

The old lenses are a little awkward working all manual including having to open wide to focus and then step down for the shot but they are usually (at least mine are) very sharp and great color. Lots of fun to play with for a hobbyist. Adapters are cheap usually $5 or less.

Vintage 1984..... for 20 bucks you did good in my book. The lenses look clean and clear, camera looks pretty clean and little wear.....

Run out and pick up some film, pop it in and have a blast.

To be honest if I had seen that I would have easily offered $50 to start the conversation....
