I felt really bad for the animals but especially for the elephants; they were in a cement room, and not in any sort of open area'd environment at all...in San Diego, the Zoo there has LOTS of open areas and large "sort of natural" enclosures.
This is my first trip to a zoo with almost all of the animals behind glass and cement.

oh, the poor things, I missed this thread.Just showed all the pic's to my son. We both enjoyed them. You really did a great job of capturing something of them (besides a pic I mean). Wow for the elephant! Jen :) :-)

I also agee- the elephant shot benefitted greatly from the overcast sky; it has real character
