You've certainly put the fun in Funchal with these, Sylvia! Pretty place and beautiful tour photos. Enjoyed seeing them, and thanks for sharing.

My pleasure Randy, everything about Madeira is beautiful except the landing, your stomach feels as though you are on a Big Dipper and lots of rock and rolling, sometimes the pilots have to try a few times to get the plane down, due to the winds!! The Captains have to do special training to fly here. All worth it in the end.
Pleased you enjoyed this set, always appreciate your kind comments, thank you very much. :D

Excellent set Sylvia... Looks like you are having a nice holiday! I really very much enjoyed the view of that first one and the one with the bistros and restaurants on the street. Looks like the weather is superb... What is the temperature like?

Always a pleasure to read you enjoyed the set Frodo, the week has just sailed by, back home to a wet UK to-morrow. The temps have been around 90f (32c) but the humidity is very high. The air conditioning has been working overtime this week.
There are bistros and restaurants in every street, with excellent food. Thank you very much for your comments, always appreciated.

The view of Reids Hotel is looking across from my balcony. It is an upmarket hotel which dates back to 1891. It was built on behalf of man called William Reid, the son of a Scottish Crofter, but he died befor it opened in 1891. Included in its many visitors were Winston Churchill, George Bernard Shaw and the pioneer colour photographer Sarah Angelina Acland who stayed there in the early 1920's. The hotel had a darkroom for use by the guests.

The truck reversed into to view as I took the shot, so I just left it there, it contained water for the plants.
