Hi,
Back in 2014 at an auto show in Greenville, RI I took the photo of the hood ornament shown in the first photo. In the 2nd photo is a black and white photo of what I believe could be a cropped verison of the photo I took in 2014. The 2nd photo was actually published today in the Providence Rhode Island Sunday journal. I seem to think the black and white photo published in the journal is my photo, maybe, maybe not? I'd like some feedback what you think, if it is and it were your photo would you proceed with taking legal action? Disclaimer, I'm just an amatuer photographer and never have earned a cent from my work
The more I look at the black and white photo, I'm not so sure it is my photo.

To my eyes they are not the same photo. In the black & white the angle of the photo is different. The camera was higher up & the back of the hood ornament is visible. Your photo was head on the other photo is overhead.

I'm with Jethro. To my eye, looks like two different images.

Thanks for your input after I looked at the 2 more carefully, I thought to myself NO, can't be, but I did want at least another pair of eyes to confirm that.
Steveo,
I don't think it is your photo. In fact the ornament in the black & white image even looks like a different ornament from the color image. Also the angle of which the two were taken is different. I think you can enjoy your "better" color image and be confident the inferior black & white image is not yours. At least that is my humble opinion.
If you where the ONLY one that has ever photographed that ornament, then I'm SURE it's yours!!
SS
Different images, end of story.
It is not even the same object!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Different eyes, mouth and yours is more angular, it looks nothing like yours.

Actually those two photos are different. The black & white is shot head on and yours is shot from a slightly higher angle, plus the fact, the reflections in the ornament are different and the shadows are not the same. Basic idea is same, but composition wise, no.
I agree. They are 2 different shots.

Subject is the same, but it is not the same photo. Look at the shadows on both.
